Why Pathway to 2030 Matters

Clarinbridge Camogie and GAA Clubs are thriving with nearly 1,000 members and over 40 active teams but just one match-standard pitch. Demand far outweighs capacity and the need for modern, accessible and inclusive facilities has never been greater.

But this is more a facilities upgrade. Pathway to 2030 is an investment in the future of Clarinbridge itself. The plan strives to create a shared space that promotes well-being, fosters inclusion and connection and provides opportunity for every generation to thrive.

The Challenges We Face

  • Overlapping training times
  • Limited access due to weather and pitch conditions
  • No all-season, multi-purpose spaces for children, teens, adults or older community members

Strong Foundations, A Clear Direction

From 2017 to 2024, significant foundations were laid to support the long-term development of our club facilities. This progress, funded by the Oskars initiative and a LEADER grant, has positioned us to move forward with confidence. Visible milestones include a new car park, the transformation of Fleming’s Field and the installation of gym equipment.

A Needs-Led Approach to Development

We’re taking a needs-led approach to ensure our development priorities truly reflect the evolving needs of our clubs and community. An initial assessment, informed by previous plans and coach feedback is already underway. Ongoing consultation with our members will guide strategic, high-impact planning ensuring that our solutions and priorities are shaped by the voices of those who matter most – our members.
